Who is Shaunny Storm?
“In 20 more years I will be a retired stylist with a thriving product line.” – Shaunny Storm
This visionary talent celebrates her 20 Year milestone working towards every dream she’s had since starting in her Auntie’s salon two decades ago.
Yes, this 15-year-old apprentice watched her mentor work her magic #BehindTheChair and then continued her education at Southeastern School of Cosmetology in Birmingham, AL after the tragic loss of her beloved aunt.
Though Southeastern could never replace the essence of her inspiration they did uphold their great reputation for education. They also first introduced Ms. Storm to competitive styling where she seized the opportunity to excel. After perfecting her talent, she entered into Bronner Bros Rising Star Student Competition simply because she had the urge to compete.
How GBF Met Shaunny Storm
Ms. Storm first came on our radar when she was referred to us to be an Experienced Master Judge for Global Barber Federation’s annual Kutz -N- Kickz Competition; however, with her years of management experience, she became the Production Coordinator for the event. Shortly after Shaunny, hosted War of The Blades combining the elements of Barbering and Styling on the same stage. Check out the footage of War of the Blades on-line at GBF-TV.com.

Get Inspired
So what can we expect from Ms. Storm in the future? As the Executive Program Director, “My goal is to develop innovative events that will captivate Barbers, Stylists, and Consumers. I would also like to enhance current events based on consumer demand. I want to give the people what they want in terms of entertainment and education.” Following that, her goal as a personal stylist is to produce a color line to then build and operate her own Salon Suites. She plans to continue to create executive-style hair shows and competitions along with opportunities to educate budding barber/stylist stars.
