Early Career
Cut|Crown Artist, Poet, Influencer, Barber Trainer in the Making
Meet Louis Kingg, GBF’s newest and brightest member. This self-taught and self-funded star started over six years ago styling heads on his mother’s front porch. However, to pursue his dream, he had to fund his resources by cutting lawns throughout his neighborhood. This side hustle led to Louis hopping of the porch and into one of the most popular barber salons in Memphis, Tennessee. Throughout his barbering journey, he decided to uproot himself and relocate to Huntsville, AL where he then began to network and grow his business, King Kutz.
How GBF Met Louis Kingg
Referred by a friend to another local barbershop in town through word-of-mouth and connections, Louis boldly called Batter Days Barbershop, and that’s where his career as a barber in Huntsville began. Vince, the proud owner of Better Days Barbershop for over 20 years now, instantly gave Mr. Kingg an impromptu audition.
Needless to say, he rocked the throng and instantly became introduced to CEO and Founder of Global Barber Federation., Kevin Thomas with a warm-hearted “Welcome to GBF.” After making things official, we’ve gotten to know and love Mr. Kingg, and you’ll soon find out why we do.
Now we mentioned he is entirely self-taught. He invested time in his trade by reviewing barber videos and books. Louis practiced various texturing techniques on his family allowing him to master all forms and textures. What’s his specialty you may ask? Styling his clients with an enhanced and elevated cut.

Now (obviously) my ultimate goal is to make my client feel great, but if they don’t have a look in mind, that is when I can truly become an artist. Their head is like my canvas. Get Inspired
Now Kingg is a bit modest and doesn’t consider himself to be a competitive barber (though we feel he’d dominate on of our Kutz-N-Kickz events). His ultimate goal is to inspire others to be a better human, and barbering is the perfect route to that. His main focus is his YouTube Channel: Louis Kingg. Like others that taught him, he aspires to inspire the youth throughout the world.

And, come get your crown shaped soon because we can expect to see young Kingg owning his own barbershop in the near future and becoming an official Master Barber Trainer at our next official venture. What can we find this budding star pursuing in 10 years? He’ll be writing his book while influencing and guest training our youth. In 20 years, he plans to take his savings and investments to a philanthropic level, too. Each step towards his future is the next chapter in his book.
